This week in maths we are learning about division. We started by playing a game outside yesterday where we all ran around and Miss Rendall shouted a number and we had to get into groups of that number. Sometimes we had equal groups and other times we had remainders.
We then came inside and took it in turns to divide groups of us by 2. We discussed the fact that dividing is the same as halving a number.
Today we worked with a partner to divide groups of cubes by 2 and 4. We discussed the fact the groups have to be equal.
Lastly, we completed a worksheet by ourselves on dividing by 2 and 4.
