Wildflower Planting

On Friday we were very lucky to have some visitors and got to learn about bees and plant some wildflowers. We learned that bees collect pollen and if the flowers are closer together it is much easier for them to collect it. We played a game to help us understand this.

We started by having the flowers really far apart - this involved lots of running for the bees.

Then the flowers came closer together which made it much easier for the bees.

We then got to plant lots of different wildflowers.

Thank you to Lindsay and Eileen to who came in to help us.
