Today we started learning more about money. We started by talking about why we need money and the different things we can do with it. We also discussed where you get money from and the class had some super ideas.
We then worked in groups to sort a bag of money into different piles and then order the piles from the smallest amount to the largest.
We then used a worksheet to compare different coins.
We had to sort the coins into 6 different categories: silver coins; brown coins; round coins; coins with corners; coins which are worth more than 10p; and coins which are worth less than 20p.
